Just read this article regarding to the Kawasaki's patent of replaceable battery on their future EV bikes which sounds like they are developing.

I find this interesting and think this is a step into the "right direction" especially with all the talks and forecast regarding to demolishing of ICE.

Now only if most of the manufacture can come to an agreement on the format and size of the battery...lol, who am I kidding... :boozing:

There is a site,  phys.org  which I follow which has articles with all the latest news on all sorts of stuff, including battery tecnology.  There is some really interesting stuff going on at the moment.  They already have batteries with much improved capacity, the main problem they all seem to have is with the electrodes.  Degradation is the major hiccup with the technology really leaping forward.

Best guess is that as the technology becomes more wide spread , there will be an industry standard adopted for the equipment involved .
