Title: You can now preorder your V85TT accessories

I guess this is one way to gauge interest and get commitments.  You deposit money and get a discount.

Did a demo ride today and the salesman mentioned this deal. Also he said they will guarantee you get a bike if you pre order. According to dealer they are expecting to sell out soon as most dealers have multiple deposits already for the limited number of bikes available. Don't know if its b.s. but since Guzzi doesn't build that many bikes anyway they may be telling the truth.

It will be interesting to see how this all turns out.

My dealer is fairly honest ... they are taking deposits, and stating they don't know when the bikes will show up, or how many they will get, or which colors/variants will come in ... I can believe that!

I doubt very seriously if any US dealer can say how many Rosso Kalahari Adventure models they are getting in for 2019 (for example).

The dealer did say the more deposits, and specific model info (who wants what bike), will help them finagle with Piaggio/MG ... so if they had deposits down for 8 Rosso Kalahari Adventure models that would help them as they beg and plead to get more bikes.

This is what it looks like when you put down a deposit on one. Fine print indicates no refund on deposit after today but the prebooking webpage says you have 30 days to get refunded.  P.S. nice to meet you today fellow Stelvio rider Cage Free  :boozing:

I still think $2k is a lot of money to trust to a company that rarely meets its own deadlines. I phoned my dealer yesterday, Moto Richmond, they've received no updates from Guzzi, 'your guess is as good as ours" was the response.

Has anyone seen options for a slightly lowered seat height yet?

Patience in not one of my virtues.  I'll be riding mine.

West Chester Pa Moto Guzzi knew exactly his allotment of V85s. Nine, six adventures and three basics. I'll be testing one on 6/21,but probably not breaking out my check book.

The seat height can be raised or lowered via blocks under the seat, I rode a V85 in each config but honestly didn't notice a difference but I forgot to even think about it as I was focused on other things.

But when do you order accessories?

But when do you order accessories?

Not shown in my picture is my email and a password with a link to the prebooking page.  On that page at the top right is a login icon and when I used my password it bought up a page listing the accessories.  I picked the engine crash bars and center stand which added up to $219 so I also put in for the luggage liners for the side cases and top case.  That total was $402 and if you subtract $250 you get $152 and that is the amount listed in the email MG sent me confirming my order.
