Thinking about adding a long distance camping bike to the stable and a nice low mileage EV might do the trick. It seems like you get a lot of bike for the money.
Any issues with these old bikes?

'98 through ?? The Vintage does not have tubeless wheels. All the EV's from 98 on did have tubeless aluminum spoke wheels. I **think** 02 or 03 is when they changed the rims a bit but were essentially still the same. Back was a maybe a little wider the they were chromed over the alloy.

The Bassa also used them, so that would put it at 01. Not sure about 02 either.

My '04 Cali has chromed, alloy, spoked rims.

for sure I would look for the EVs and Bassas with tubeless spoke rims.

Thanks for the responses. I’m thinking the aluminum tubeless rims would be a bonus. Weren’t there some issues with the chrome tubeless?
