Title: NGR another one from Italy. (Mostly)
Post by: Brand X on May 22, 2019, 11:43:51 AM
I looked for a Guzzi, but most ones I would want was out of my price range.. Found this 2008 Aprilia that was in my range.. I had a mint first generation one, that I traded for my first Guzzi. 10,000 miles, and mint on this generation 2 model.. Has a real nice Famsa adjustable tank bag..Knight foot pegs.Aprilia factory racing slip-on's,  Taller Puig windscreen ,adjustable levers, Frame sliders, bike is all stock mostly. Never been laid down, clear title. Only thing it needs is a rear tire. (on the way) $3,600 from the next town over. I was going to drive to Seattle for something, but this kept popping up in my head..  As close to mint as you can get.. I have always liked the black ones when seen in person..

I don't care for flashy graphics, but on an Aprilia it just looks "right". The checkers are especially cool.
If I ever sell my Paso, an Aprilia V twin would be on my short list.

Nice bike!  A Tuono right?  My favourite thing with those early RSV4s is that spine-chilling upper rev range V4 howl.  Having a pair of Akras onboard should make it especially melodious.  Unusual front end there... Sachs?  Does that yellow spring belong to an Ohlins on the arse-end as well?

I have a same-year RSV1000R myself, but due to knee problems simply don't fit into her more!  It's just as frustrating as it sounds:  the sexy little minx still looks just as lovely as she did the first time I laid my lustful eyes on her.  The desire is there.  Every time I cast my eyes her way the pulse quickens, the loins twitch, & the palms get a little sweaty.  Alas, however, my arthritic flesh (knees anyway) are just too weak these days for the Aprilia racing crouch.

Sadly, I'm gonna have to sell.

As a consolation prize to myself I've managed to pick up another Husky Nuda, this time the Ohlins-equipped "R" model.  Looks like my daughter is going to get herself the other (standard) Nuda & me the R.  Happy days!

I tend to like the blue color after looking at it a while..

Started working on it a bit.. The Mark Parnes balancer is nice to find the true heavy spot on the rim. Never at the valve stem..
