And after a long, gentle autumn winter arrived in earnest today. It's half past one in the afternoon and it's only 6.5*C but the wind chill makes it feel like -1.2*C. Tomorrow's going to be the same only it's going to be pissing with rain!
Bleargh!

How often do you blokes hit -40? That is a right proper winter.

I feel for ya Pete. Perhaps some RAB (Refreshing Adult Beverage) might lift your spirits.

I still haven't returned to Sydney from the Budgie & am reluctant to return - it's cool enough here in the Northern Rivers. Riding around the district in between helping a mate get his V7s back on the road. 7C to low 20's, but clear days and warm in the sun. Haven't been using any real winter gear. Had one rainy day last week, but spent that day in the garage. Have fixed the Racer's rear mudguard (he'd wanted it shorter & taken to it with an angle grinder, then got stuck putting it back together) - on a test run up the Lions Road & back nothing fell off, so it's a success so far. His Special's lights haven't worked for at least 6 months - the tail tidy fell off while riding months back, broke wires, which he just bundled up & tied high. So the fuse blew. Only the number plate wires to extend & connect & all will be well. So only a couple of more days here before I fit in a quick visit to the Gold Coast before heading back to what we call a proper winter. Ugh.

Supposed to hit us on Friday, which is when we head off for the annual vintage car club's Irishman Creek rally. This goes over boondock type country where the angels fear to tread and some of the coldest parts on NZ. Rain, ice and snow predicted. All cars must be prior 1931 and believe me, there are no trailer queens on this run!
I will be in a 1924 Chrysler tourer. It does have a roof but no side curtains. I think I might just wear my bike riding jacket....

36-37C here in Alabama and we're not even in June yet. I could use a dose of that chilly air right now.

We're in full bloom summer in Kona. Far out West and in the Deep.....deep South.

Well it's a lot colder in Wisconsin than Toronto for sure, but 6.5C is T-Shirt weather up here, eh?
