Modern city traffic is insane! What's it like getting around in a busy city if you are not really used to it? :undecided:

In the old days, at least people were more polite.

Maybe people were more polite in the old days, I don't know about that, but they must not have been good drivers. We've all heard of two cars in the whole state of Ohio and they collided at a country intersection. Or how about that little movie WC Fields made because he was so pissed off at drivers? If you haven't seen it, it's a hoot. Drivers cutting him off, jamming into a parking space out of turn, stuff like that, and he just rams them.
Navigating city traffic here in Portland Oregon isn't scary dangerous, it's more infuriating than anything else. Wit one way streets channeled down to one lane so there can be a dedicated bicycle lane (empty usually), sauntering pedestrians while cars wait to turn backing up the lane, commuter train crossings, Dedicated bus runs where no other traffic is allowed forcing you blocks out of your way enduring more stop and go. I avoid downtown.

I concur! Not to mention the pedestrian only bridge and my favorite, closing bridges to vehicles on Sunday morning so people can dress up their dogs to walk across :embarassed:

That's Portlandia for ya.

Cities, avoid them like the plague.

Different strokes for different folks. I agree about avoiding cities, but one of Dorcia's friends dream is to live in a high rise in Chicago. <shrug>

But does she ride a motorcycle?
