The Dealer asked that I bring it back for it's first service at 600 miles, not 900. "We found correcting any possible issues earlier is better, the rest don't count as much as the first". 2 1/2 hour procedure was visible from second floor glass windows. Vespa/Moto Guzzi of Brooklyn/Manhattan is top notch, but requires dealing with gridlock which this light, torquey bike is quite adept at. They suggested leaving the shift light at 5,700 until 6k miles! With 700 miles on it; feeling the engine loosening up was very special with all the "appliances" type machines out there. My T100 feels very heavy compared to it.
The only negatives I could mention could have been solved by getting a V7: lower, narrower handlebars, pegs back yet another couple of inches and a tank that is easier to grip. I rolled the bars forward for now to negate the rise and I found open highway cruising with feet on the passenger pegs is a nice way to move around the barely seat. Oh, and the low fuel light goes on at half tank.
But I wanted that rare custom look and may have never joined the Moto Guzzi Family if not for this small block. More to come!
This motorcycle has the most exciting, visceral feel ever; and I have had many motorcycles with personality. I can't get enough of it.

How is the power delivery compared to the Bonnie. I currently have an 07 Bonnie and an 06 Scrambler and am wanting a little lighter bike with EFI.

It's not fully broken in yet, but the maximum torque is at 3k so it really pulls better at low RPM. The new water cooled T100 270 crank is far more sophisticated than the previous air cooled. It is more comfortable than the V9 but feels way heavier even though it is just 40 pounds more.
If you want light and torque and an indescribably cool power delivery, get the V9. The rise and width of the bars is 2" each more, and the pegs are slightly forward of your Triumph. Try on a V7 too. Good luck!

Nice bike, Red. Pictures just don't do justice to the V9. When I saw one up close at the local dealer... wow... the curves on that tank are gorgeous!
