I thought I was familiar with the 1000S lines, but this one has a rear-end that makes me go yeesh; in my humble opinion, it looks FAR worse than the LMIV rear swoopiness that some people complain about. Besides that, and even though it doesn't look like the V7 Sport-version of 1000S I was expecting, it still is awful purty.

That is a rare bird!

That's the 1000 Strada.

1000cc's with carbs. Great machine, Looks?? who cares??

It's *not* a 1000S.
That's the 1000 Strada.
Apparently. It has the Strada bodywork, fender, brake rotors, turnsignals, etc. A very rare bike in it's own right, but not a 1000S.

+ the Givi Monokey Wingrack!

I should spend this amount of time bettering myself and improving my life... but.. this is a lot more interesting and fun :azn:
Looks like it was for sale in 2009, then again in 2018, and now. In 2009 it was owned apparently by an Alfa Romeo person, and they mention that it has been repainted. My guess is that they couldn't find the original Strada decal set, so they opted for the next closest thing (plus maybe goes better with the other design choices made). Since 2018, the viper fairing flew off as well, maybe the side bags too!

Shows how much I know about agriculture. Ad said 1000s, didn't think it looked like any 1000s I saw before, but I reported fake news anyway. Oh, well, no harm, no foul? Since it's so near to me I might check it out.

No worries...we are all still learning....this "nut & bolt" restored 1000S from Texas seen at the Datil, NM Guzzi Rally back in 2013 reportedly sold for $20,000!!!   :thumb:

Yeah, it's a Tonti.
