Post by: nick949 on June 03, 2019, 03:34:40 PM
As usual, it's a youtube link, but don't be scared off by that.

Three days into Quebec a few weeks ago on my 76 Convert.

Thanks much!  I always enjoy seeing parts of the world I will probably never be able to get to.

Hey Nick, Tks very much for posting that,,, very well done, captured the laid back, mile munching feel of the Convert quite nicely, I'm sure.

I can imagine the black flies would be horrendous now, up in that country,,, nice touch with the snowbanks to keep the bugs at bay, for a good part of the route.

I don't mind a little rain or a little cold,,, but they are definitely not my favorite combination to ride in,,, I admire your fortitude

Did that Convert come out of a barn in the Alexandria area a few years ago? I passed up a smoking deal on one 4 yrs? ago, been kicking myself ever since, lol.

      Ride safely and often

Hi Kelly,
I bought it from a friend a couple of years back and he had bought it from someone in the GTA, so it's probably not the same one.  Now that it's warming up a bit the blackflies might be a nuisance, but not if you don't stop.

Stay safe

Interesting, the one I was looking at, had 16K kms, apparently ended up in Oshawa/Durham area.

The cool weather has knocked the bugs down a bit, I heard they got snow up near Mattawa and across to Val D'Or a couple of days ago,,, crazy weather this year.

      Tks take care
