Love that riding outfit.

It’s missing the (her) best parts!..
Sigh

Man, did I have a crush on her.

Man, did I have a crush on her.
Still do ! she's only 78!
-
Oh yeah !
-
So fine. The bike is a looker, too.
-
I'm in agreement with all of the responses thus far.
And, she appears very confident and at ease with that bike.

That is fantastic

You guys remember her in the Elvis movie where he’s sporting a 305 Honda Dream? I think that was around the mid 60’s. She was mighty fine then!

Anne Margaret on a chopper... :bike-037:

She seemed to be into all sorts of bikes, too. I like this shot of her on a T100...

Looks like a good rider. Except for the part where she pulled in front of the TR4.
-
Yeah, I noticed that too... and cringed. Never mind not looking to the LHS, probably MORE importantly.
-
How odd is it for her to raise the kickstand before getting on the bike or lowering after she gets off of it?
I might have done that as a kid on a bicycle, but it looks like a drop waiting to happen on a motorcycle.

When she gets off the bike at the Photo Booth - look at how the bike lurches forward - almost to the point where the stand gives way.
On many of these early Guzzi's the sidestand is 'way forward... and you need really long legs to deploy the stand.
I agree with your comment, though: it's a recipe for a fallen-over bike.
On my T5 NT I deploy the stand, turn the forks to the left, pull-up on the handlebars (i.e. stiction in the forks) and thereby get the bike to lean over on the stand as much as possible. On my T5 NT (with the more rearwards-mounted stand like the SPIII and like the Mille GT) it's easy to do. Having said this, my bike can be on the side-stand at near-plumb... which makes it pretty precarious.

Fellas , this is Ann Margret , she was a professional dancer , possessed of strength and grace that most humans simply don't have .

I feel its pretty safe to assume that you havent ridden a Loop Frame or early Tonti with the standard little stick that purports to be a"kick" stand. The safest procedure is to do exactly what she does! You get used to it, I have done it for 40 years with my V7 Sport.
Having a "police" stand and the boards removed on my Lemonvert is a luxury, I can safely swing it down from the saddle.
-
She is certainly hot! I can watch that clip for hours! But healthy perversions aside, it says a lot for the old Loop Frame, 500 plus pounds of motorcycle and so easily maneuvered at walking speed, no wonder they were such a popular police mount.
-
there was a motorcycle in that clip?
-
Ann was great!
 What's more attractive? Two girls on a bike, or a girl on two bikes?

Long term fan of Ann Margret's film and music. After all, I'm only 7 yrs. older. The dear woman had many, many accidents. I don't believe in the term, but. She crashed a lot of motorcycles, in many unrelated ways, in many places. She also had a few bad falls while entertaining military, (w/Bob Hope), and making movies

Ann Margret starred with Jack Nicholson, 1971, in Carnal Knowledge. A favorite. I was on per diem in MN when she crashed at the Brainerd race track. She's got to be the greatest combination of looks, kindness, strength, character, patience and durability - ever. R3~

^^^ That list is kinda wonky , Bob Dylan almost died as a result of crashing , and Duane Allman did die as a result of his .

Yeah, she does her own riding in the movie "The Prophet".
Ann, "Oh..I need gas. Do you have 1000 lira?"
Prophet replies: "No. I left my wallet at home ...5 years ago."
...for the price of five gallons worth of gas!!

Yes, that clip shows her mastery at low speeds, but I'm pretty sure that the extended shot of her from dead-ahead was done while the motorcycle was being towed on a stabilizing platform that let the front fork pivot freely. I noticed that the bike remained bolt upright no matter how the forks turned.
The rest of the sequence shows she was simply irresistible.

Yeah, I always do what she did with the suicide side stands.
I believe "Hubba Hubba" used to be the term for AM..
-
I think you guys should all shut up and get in line, far behind ME ! I don't understand why she hasn't returned any of my calls yet........
-
When I first saw that video I started mounting and dismounting the same way
Not sure I look as good doing it though

I've ridden Loopframe Guzzis for the last 22 years and over 100k miles. 99% of the time, I put the (short, civilian) sidestand up and down while seated on the bike. It's not a spring-loaded "suicide stand" like some early Tonti and is very stable except on softest of ground. On early Tontis with the spring-loaded sidestand, I don't even bother with it, just put it on the centerstand and be done with it.
-
I did that type of kick stand deployment on my Daytona 1000. Until I figured out that I could use my left hand while seated.

At 81, she’s just released a new album of rock and roll covers with the title track “Born to be Wild!” You can hear her sing it on YouTube while you look at a photo of her in her prime on a Moto Guzzi. An article today in the New York Times is worth reading. It reveals that she now rides a purple Harley that was custom built for her. You can see the purple paint on the gas tank in a posed picture.
Every man’s favorite, or close to it!
