It’s been a great postseason to watch...amazing they went into The Garden and took it away...I’m visiting on Cape Cod and got to annoy 2 Bruins fans wearing jerseys by pointing to my Blues hat...sweet revenge for that Bobby Orr thing

I’m surprised the tv coverage didn’t bleep out some of the verbiage as the players were hoisting the cup after the game. They were really 😃 happy. Gotta find me a blues t shirt. I used to go to a bunch of games when I lived near the old arena (formerly the checker dome) kind of lost interest in hockey after moving away. It’s been re kindled now.

The old Arena was originally The Arena. When Ralson Purina which was based in STL purchased the building and the Blues they changed the name to The Checkerdome. Red and white checkers was the company logo.
When they sold the team it went back to its original name.
Originally there were two spires flanking the main entrance. In 1959 a tornado took out part of the roof and one of the spires. It also took out two TV station antennas. It went right over my house, two blocks away one Berthold Ave. I slept through it.
Be live it or not The Arena was owned by the Chicago Black Hawks until Sid Salomon bought it as a condition of founding the Blues and getting the NHL franchise.

I have a Blues Tshirt, maybe 30 years old?
Believe it's a medium, I'll try to find it.

you’ll look great in a 30 year old Medium Blues t shirt. In hot weather you can tie a knot in the front.

I am happy for Pat Maroon to have returned to his home in St Louis and be on the winning Stanley Cup team, great storey.
