Putting a new tire on the rear of B11. I am impressed with the Angle GT spec A. I have 7500 miles and it’s still got 1.5mm to the wear mark. Nothing close to Tennessee Marks extraordinary mileage, but good for me in the real world. My question is what is the torque for the four bolts? My goodness they were tight. If I didn’t have a power impact wrench i don’t think I could have broke it lose. (Shout out to Harbor Freight, their cheapo 12v impact driver works great !).

Torquing these rear wheel bolts on the Carc bikes is no joke,April 2013 my friends Norge,earlier that day he had the rear wheel off for maintenance ,but didn't use a torque wrench when putting it back on ,he said I thought I had them tight enough.As near as we can figure he lost 3 of the bolts during his ride, and the last remaining bolt finally snapped off,(you can see what remains of that last bolt in the hub).as the wheel went one way and he went down.He did say the bike was acting squirrely just before he went down,he was surprisingly lucky only bumps and bruses.

Torque to spec and then yellow paint pen to mark them. I give them a look when I check the tire pressure before a ride.
I tried a unicycle when I was 13, I sucked at it.

I'm sorry to be such a pain, but I have moved on to the front tire.
I am not so close to a Guzzi shop since I move, thus I'm trying to do more myself. The front wheel is off at the local shop getting a fresh new Angle Gt, but when I get it back I would love to know, fork pinch bolt torque, caliper mount torque, and axel torque? Thanks friends!
Oh, and since I'm so needy, the front pads are about done. What's a good choice for the front on a B1100? Remind me you helped me, and I'll be sure to buy you a beer next time we are playing in the same sand box.

Just for you Chad--- 7, 37, 60 ftlbs off the top of my head you figure out which is wat!!

I guess I fart too easy. The first time I had my rear wheel off the Norge I used the tighten until you fart method. Next time I rode it the rear end started dancing on me in town at only 30 mph thank goodness. Three bolts were only in the their holes due to the dust cover and one was loose but still in the threads.
Since then it has always been 81 measured pounds of torque. No problems.

At the risk of starting a grease thread..
I always have and always will lightly grease the four retaining bolts and the Allen head pinch bolts in the forks at the axle..
(Others too incidentally..)
To not do so means some of the torque you apply to the head, will be used to break the stiction and the bolt will not be at the correct figure. I’ve had my wheel’s off at least 12 times and always do up the rear wheel bolts with a six sided socket and breaker bar by hand.
I’ve never had an issue.
I did it once by the above method and checked them with the torque wrench and they were amazingly close to spec.
Same with the front, but just an aside..
When nipping up the small pinch bolts for the front axle, I use a T handle Allen key and alternate between the two as I tighten. You can nip one up to what feels right, do the one next to it and not surprisingly the first one is under spec, so I reckon you need to be mindful of that.

Hey, here’s a thing..
If you get two bolts the same as the rear wheel ones or preferably a bit longer and cut the head off, you can wind them into the drive hub by hand after taking the wheel off and it makes refitting the rear wheel a lot easier.
