Title: NGK Plug caps- anyone try the X?
Post by: Ryan on June 19, 2019, 03:56:56 PM
I am about to order replacement plug caps and new plugs for the Stelvio, and as I am searching Amazon I see the XD05F with the 102 degree bend. It seems this might fit better under the cover, but I can't tell if the reach is the same as the SD05E or F.  NGK's website is worthless for information such as this, so I am wondering if anyone has tried the XD cap on a Stelvio or other 8V, and if it worked?  After reading all of the threads here, and elsewhere, I was ready to order the SD05F and SD05E to get the right cap with the right seal, but then I read about swapping to Denso plugs, which I believe have removable connectors so I wouldn't need the "E" cap. All this cap crap is making my head hurt.

Yes, it does. Why won't they put that on the US site?  Thanks for posting this.

Many MFGR's have different sites for various countries. NGK has a few. I think this info can also be found in the USA site, but it's in the complete catalog of plugs and all.

Glad it helped,
Tom

They will not work. Not deep enough. I am sure i will have another project at some point that these will work for.
