I am looking for luggage options that would still be available to fit this bike. I think HB C-bow will work. I know Norge luggage will work, but don’t know where to get it? Open to any and all suggestions. Thanks.

Hepco Becker also offers the standard bag mounts, so you can install most of their panniers to include the Junior cases.
The 1200 Sport will also accept the factory bag setup from either the Norge or the 1100 Breva, mounts are probably the same but the bags are a bit different.

Honestly the Norge luggage isnt that great.
1. It's wedge shaped, makes the ass of the bike super wide
2. in addition to the wedge, they are sort of trapezoidal, so (to me) difficult to pack well (odd shape, no square corners).
3. the waterproofness requires a good mate & seal of the two halves of the clamshell... imho the plastic isn't rigid enough to maintain this seal. I am pretty sure they always leak, and positive they leak if you really stuff them full
4. they are side opening, so every time you try to take something out, the entire contents fall out in the road (esp the left bag when you're on sidestand)
5. addition to #4, i'm pretty sure you cant take them off and on the bike while full/closed... the attachment mechanism is tied to the closing mechanism... so you can't even load them off the bike and then install them onto the bike once they are loaded.
6. last set I saw for sale (ebay) was scandalously expensive
The HB C-bow would be great if you dont need max capacity or only plan to use it occasionally.. it's great that the mounts practically disappear.
If you want to put them on and leave in place for eternity, I vote regular H&B racks and your H&B boxes of choice.... H&B deff makes mounts for these, that's what I have on my breva.

Agreed about the Aprilia bags, they warp and can also fall off. One of mine is still on a L.A. freeway, I never found it again.
I have C-bows on my Cali 1400s, my Griso 1200SE and my V7-III Stone. The racks are relatively cheap, and the mounting is quick and secure. The range of bags available is also increasing. You can also purchase adapters to fit bags of your choosing, like I did for the Givi E21s.
But for the 1200 Sport, my favorite is the H & B bags which come in 40 & 30 liter sizes. The framework is not unattractive, and relatively obscure enough not to notice them when the bags are not mounted. Note that the locking mechanism and keys come with the bags not the frames. You can always purchase extras from www.motomachine.com as well as other H&B gear.

I got the HB 30 L Juniors. They work great and are well constructed. The dealbreaker for me with the Norge bags is you have to use the key every time you want to get in them.

I had Hepco Becker Junior 30L on mine. They mount quickly and are alright in terms of construction. I doubt tht they are very waterproof, as there is no gasket. However, that might be solved with liners. They do fall open and everything does fall out.

I disagree. My 30L Junior saddlebags do have a 360 degree rubber gasket that the clam shell door closes against. I did have to modify and straighten the edge with a heat gun to make sure it closes straight against the seal and makes good contact when closed. Mine are now waterproof.
I also recently fixed the "falling open" problem... The HB rear trunk has 2 cables that limit its opening. I ordered 2 of those same cables from Moto Machines and installed one in each of the Junior bags and now they open to where I want them to.

I had the Norge bags on my 1200 Sport. Once or twice a year a little silicone spray on the gasket and mine never leaked in the 40+ thousand miles I toured on it (in some massive storms, BTW). And you can take them off loaded quite easily. I would take them into hotel rooms just like any other luggage. The liner were not as good as my FJR liners, but the cases are similar in construction and I never had any structural or leakage issues, other than the top latching mechanism can collect water and then it falls inside when opened. My only complaint. They are wide and you will need to add a "link" on the exhaust can to drop it a bit lower and if you have a center stand you will need to shave the rubber bumper off by about half to keep cornering clearance.

Couple of pics of my b&w 12S with the 30L HB Juniors. I added a pair of HB bag liners that stay in the closet until I travel. Makes it nice when you leave bags locked on the bike but need your essentials in motel room or tent. Here's a couple of older pics of the bike with the 30l bags. The 40 liter bags look good from the side, but should come with a 'wide load' sign. :wink:

Trivia: In the bottom pic, you'll see a small brick church directly over top of my right hand mirror. If you're a baseball fan, Cy Young is buried in the church graveyard. Located in the mostly non-existant town of Peoli, Ohio, on SR258 (nice ride.)

True, but they would gobble up a full face helmet with a Sena hanging off the side.

I keep my 40s in the event I take the Sport on another multi day ride. They hold a lot.

Alan asked about the Norge luggage I was considering selling but I removed the post because (1) my friends pointed out the loss in resale value; and (2) I couldn't provide the front catches because they are integrated into a structural piece.
I'm using C-Bow carriers with custom (cheap, small) bags for the side cases and the wonderful Givi MonoLock for the top case. The C-Bow carriers are fine for small cases but they ride a bit high and wide. I'll be cutting and welding mine to tuck them in lower and closer to match my small bags. But the C-Bow system allows me swap my various bags among motorcycles. And like C-Bow, the Givi MonoLock system allows me to swap top cases among motorcycles (I replaced the Norge base plate with the Givi base plate -- just some filing on the Givi needed).
For large side cases I recommend the H&B side carriers. I haven't used them but I've been fairly happy with H&B products. Except for the nuts and bolts which often need thread chasing or replacement.

Aren't the front catches just bolt-on brackets? When I got the kit they came with security bolts, the heads of the bolts were designed to snap off when the proper torque was reached. I decided that was not desirable and just used regular bolts.
I have no opinion on the loss of resale value.

Bisbonian -- I think we are referring to the same parts: GU05485130 and GU05486630 connectors (catches). My Norge came with the side cases installed so the catches had already been fastened to plates GU05443530NA and GU05446030NA using shear rivets AP8152140 which are the rotation points for the catch height adjustment using 598839 lock screws. The heads of the shear rivets were already snapped off. Thanks for the explanation of your installation because I wondered why the rivets showed threads and that 'V' waist in the parts drawing.
I checked eBay for pricing of used side and top cases. Typically $500-$900 per case with no mounting hardware or extra keys included. So I'd be asking $1500 minimum for all three cases including mounting hardware and extra keys. And nobody is going to pay that while in a few years a bare Norge is probably unsellable without them since CARC/8V-specific aftermarket parts availability will be zilch. So grinding off the heads of the shear rivets is not in my future.

However, I have ended up buying one with the HB 30lL cases and a Givi top box, so all is good.

Concur with Givi TankLock system. Superior in many ways to the alternatives. Mine is ST602 (4L) with GTM ring (Xmas present). My storage priorities in riding time are:
1. Givi TankLock tank bag (100%)
2. Givi MonoLock top case (70%)
3. H&B C-Bow side case mounts with custom (cheap) and H&B Legacy bags (20%)
So my MG key ring is (1) ignition/seat; (2) MonoLock; and (3) C-Bow. My RE key ring is (1) ignition/covers; (2) MonoLock; and (3) C-Bow. Four spares for all, shared with rescue friends.

Nah, that’s not dead right.
They overcentre before the lock comes into play, but granted you would not want to ride off with them on overcentre only.

I’ve had BMW saddlebags in the past and I always like to open and close them without the key or lock them up when I want to. The HB bags work that way
