The orange turd's starter seems to hang up for a second and then disengage on the first start of the day, hmmmmm. It functions fine when the bike is warm. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, peace.
I cleaned the battery (not dirty) terminals and cables and tightened them up and all's gooder again. :boozing:

it could be dirty bendix, in aviation you lube them with heavy duty silicone spray.
it could be that after it fires, the rpm doesn't come up fast enough to kick out the bendix
it could be a cheaper Asian starter

Perhaps someone lubed the solenoid and its turned gummy, it should drop out quickly.
I usually leave the solenoid dry.

Thanks for the comments. The starter is original and never lubed. The battery should be OK. I started the turd up today after sitting 5 days with no drama. Maybe the Turd didn't like sitting outside in the cold at the Deep Forest campout, haha! I may pull the starter and have a look, peace.

If you do any riding in the rain, which you might in the Pacific Northwest , the starter is not sealed well and gets real shittee internally.
EuroMotoElectrics sells parts for them.

Wish I had known you were there, I could have taken a look at it.
