My airbag vest. A Christmas gift from my wife last year and I have been riding with it every time I go for a ride. She originally ordered me the Hellite Leather jacket but I chose to return it and replace with a Hellite leather vest. I was afraid I would shy away from wearing the jacket in 80 plus weather. Most the time I wear a Kevlar lined flannel shirt under it and I'm comfortable. Today I was leaving my brother's and at the end of his driveway I stopped and put my foot into a small hole throwing me off balance. I tried holding the bike up but finally gravity won and me and the bike hit the ground. My helmet hit the ground hard and my air vest went off and did what it's suppose to. The impressive thing is I was dead still and already leaning pretty good and it still went off before I hit the ground. I am convinced this is a wonderful product. Thought I would share this with you all. Bike basically unhurt thank goodness and I am too.

Fantastic!

I wear a Hit-Air over my Roadcrafter jacket, no matter what the weather. Sweat cleans off much easier than blood.

Thanx for your comments. I've been anxious for a real life experience. R3~

can they be inflated again after they go off?

Yes, absolutely...around 20 bucks for a new CO2 cartridge.

Thanks for the great feedback!
Been meaning to get one of these air vest as I commute as much as I could on my bike...
and as we all know, doesn't matter how much of a glow stick you are, people around you just don't see you...

Up to and including motorcycle cops.... my cousin tells me the horrible stories of people doing dumb stuff "not realizing" he was a cop until he turns the red and blue lights and the siren on...
That said back to the OP... I like the idea of one that's re-usable. Yeah... thinking I may be getting one fairly soon. Thanks for sharing!
