So much to admire there!
Now what about internals? Is the engine as sharp as the exterior? 😁

Question on your rear brake master cylinder mount.
Did you weld a bracket onto the frame and tap into that, or did you tap into the frame itself.
I'm looking to do something similar on a build I'm half way through now, I was thinking of making a plate that mounted on the two bolts the foot pegs use to mount to the frame.

I'm looking to do something similar on a build I'm half way through now, I was thinking of making a plate that mounted on the two bolts the foot pegs use to mount to the frame.
I cut a 1/4” steel plate into a “moon” shape which fitted around the large swinging arm nut. I made a couple holes in it to allow me to better weld it to the frame.
Before I did this I cut the heads off of a couple of bolts which the Ducati 916 master cylinder mounts on. I drilled and tapped the plate to take these too and welded them at the back. The whole thing was smoothed off and affixed to the frame.
Here’s a poor quality pic of the first fix.
Hope that helps.

I had a lovely Mk2 Le Mans and a tatty T3 in the garage so I chose the T3 as the build base
This lot helps me get there very nicely
950 bore, ported and flowed, straight inlets and bell mouths, twin plugged, Silent Hetik ignition, 36 PMH pumpers, lightened flywheel, Ram deep spline clutch, hand made SS downpipes and exhausts.
For me it’s about getting up to 70/80 quickly, I’m not too interested in much after that, and I’m a very happy bunny
It’s also got a shedload of other bits, like GSXR internals squeezed into the original Guzzi forks, Moto Gadget throughout, 916 320mm rotors and brakes and with the stop and tail light mounted in the seat, I have a micro contact arrangement to loose the wiring between the tram and seat. That took me three months and several iterations to get right.

Beautiful bike. Why the Zagato badging? Is there some connection the styling house?

To cut a long story short ..
The original Davida crash helmet advert featuring the lovely Katrien sat astride Ben Part’s famous ‘Zagato’ Guzzi inspired this build. It’s fair to say that it consumed me day and night for 3 years.

Ahhh, I assumed your bike was the one in the Davida ad after updates. I think I like yours a bit better.

Thank you for posting additional pictures, just awesome :thumb:

I don’t want to make you jealous, but like 3 pages after your write up there is a picture of my Moto Guzzi cafe racer 1/2 way hidden behind my wife’s blue Yamaha.
