Yes; the guzzi content is pretty indirect, but it's there. I’ve taken many more than this over the years, but, haven’t tracked those others down. It reminds me of Hitchcock’s Vertigo poster… Having long arms is a help.

Yes; the Loretto stairs are a nice bit of master carpentry. Can you imagine taking those stairs when there was not any railing (as originally built)? Apparently, the good sisters were terrified. Perhaps the real miracle is that none of the sisters died while using the stairs.

My wife's favorite staircase is/was the wooden fire escape she had while living in 2nd or 3rd floor apartment before we met..... wish I could find it to post but who know where the old photograph is.
