Thanks for posting, Charlie. Not sure that I would have seen it otherwise. I'm hardly knowledgeable beyond a fan, but always found his rides with TO bikes and more really interesting back before the interweb made it simple to follow such things. Very cool stuff.

The man himself on the left and his favorite bike.

My two favorite US Moto Guzzi racers: Dave Roper & Fred Marsh. Good friends. - Always kind and generous with their thoughts, both totally devoted to their craft. Please send some bucks, if you can. Do not miss the this film! Good fortune, R3~

I did a FIM vintage trial-waiting on one section 2 AJS riders were chatting, and when they exchanged names one said his name was Dave Roper. I near sprained my neck turning around!
-
I did my bit to support the film in a small way. As a perk I will be receiving a signed poster. Looking forward to that!

Maybe we should do a film about Pete Roper.

Maybe we should do a film about Pete Roper.
I knew this was coming. I can't imagine what that would be like. I'm sure it would involve beer.

I met Dave Roper once and he was the most humble, nicest man I've ever met in a paddock.

I pulled up to Dave Roper waiting at the bridge over the Connecticut river and....
Mixed up guzzi and Racing, then said,.......wait for it....
“Hey, your Pete Roper!...”
NOT
Sorry Pete,....I mean Dave, dammit

Having met both Pete and Dave , both are fine gentleman , although Dave is probably a little bit faster  Of course it is Pete who so generously helps us with all kinds of mechanical issues , so ...

I've met both Pete and Dave; but I know Dave. These things come to mind: Dave is vintage. Pete is au currant. I've seen Dave race other persons mc's (Guzzi singles to late model Yamaha's and tank shift hd's. Same track, same day). Pete knows his barbers' first name? Dave does not have a barber. R3~
