Getting reading to pull the trigger and get myself the V85TT in the red/white combo. Has anyone come up with the service codes for this model yet? Is the GuzziDiag software I currently have compatible? I know, or at least have heard, that the connection is different so I will have to find some new hardware.
Any information would be great.

7SM computer 52mm TB , the workshop manual is out there now. I did not see anything about the Diag plug.
The manual I looked at did not have any service codes in it.

Yep, Guzzidiag will connect to the V85, but only by using the Cali 1400 option (they share the same Magneti Marelli IAW 7SM ECU).
At the moment Guzzidiag cannot reset your service spanner. But when they develop a V85 option, let's hope it's included.
If you already have cables for other models, probably this is all you need.

Not at all. But for Jesus friiggin christ, I read the last 2 of 50 some odd pages and found nothing but a love fest for a bike I have been dreaming Moto Guzzi would build for the last 20 freaken years.
We all know what a great bike this is.
I am a professional who has limited time to sift through the chummy stuff and hope some one may give me a lead on some simple stuff that will seal the deal on me getting what I hope to be a great bike.

Paul managed that Lonelec can provide the right adapter.

GuzziDiag should work without problems.
Also the 7SM Reader and Writer works.
But be carefull the 7SM is very sensitiv.
Be sure you have set the delay value to 1ms.
And better read it out several times, before you try to write to it.
And connect a charger to the battery during programming.

I do feel like a bit of an ass, on the third and fourth from last pages of that ridiculous thread were in fact some of the answers I was looking for. But jeezuz.

Hi all, I tried to connect, but I didn't manage to.
I'm quite an "expert user" of Guzzidiag: I use it regularly on my v7 where I have installed a Beetle's map.
I have the cables from lonelec: both the kkl adapter (I got it with the adapter for the v7) and the new adapter for the v85tt.
I use a linux laptop (no drivers problems).
I opened Guzzidiag, I selected "California 1400" and when I tried to connect, after switching on the ignition, the program didn't connect, and got "freezed"...
I tried several ways but no way!
On my linux box I already checked the USB port , it was ok, I tried the tester for the cables provided on the Guzzidiag internet site and it worked . Finally, I tried to connect but again the connection failed and the program always got freezed.
I'm already in contact on Facebook with Paul and with another user that on Mac has the same issue.
What could we do? Thanks!!!!!

I have tried to connect to the 7SM with the Linux version too. It doesn't. I have tried several tweaks, using all my Linux tricks. No success. That was a few months ago, after a bloke bricked his ECU using a virtual machine.
I might have another crack. Time to put thinking cap back on.

I'll try to connect with the win xp version, but I have always problems finding a driver that works :undecided:
