Title: Torque specs for 1200 Sport brake caliper bolts?
Post by: willowstreetguzziguy on July 27, 2019, 07:28:18 AM
Going to put new brake pads, front and rear today on my 1200 sport. Anyone know how much torque lbs.  to apply when reinstalling the brake caliper bolts that hold the calipers on?

50nm/ 36ft.lbs      You shouldn't need to remove the calipers to replace pads .

Ok, Do I need to clean out that area after I remove the pads and before I install the new ones with brake cleaner spray?

I usually do clean them up and also put a light smear of never seize on the pins than hold the pads.
