My 2010 Black Eagle side stand appears to be longer than my 2003 EV was and the bike therefore leans way more over when parked. Not being 21 anymore I am beginning to find it a bit of a heave, when sitting on the bike, to get the bike upright. Has anyone altered the side stand so the bike parks more upright? Thank you.

I'm sure that's pretty simple to bend it with a bit of heat from an oxy acetelene set. Mines got a cranked G5 sidestand on it and that is a bit low too...at least its totally stable compared to the original tonti T3 and LM flip up job...never seen such a useless sidestand as that !

If you look at how it is made & how it works in the large slot. If you tilt bike on it the rectangular tab goes up into a slot, weld a 1/8" or 1/4" up there for extra stop. Just an Idea, compare the top tab on stand, you can weld up on 1 edge and grind off the other side of tab if you are handy.

If you turn your wheel to the right it will stand the bike up a little more and takes less effort to stand it up. I do my 1400 tourer that way and it makes it much easier for an old guy to get things UP!! Pun intended 😂

Thank you for the replies, especially the last which is just so simple. Probably like me

Put the bike on the center stand till you adjust the side stand.

And while you're there, check that all attachment bolts are present and tight. I assuming this situation wasn't there when you purchased it?
