Title: what's this bracket on my transmission?
Post by: amamet on August 22, 2019, 10:21:25 AM
just curious what this bracket is for?  bike is a '77 lemans.   I have nothing that bolts to it, I even checked my v1000 g5 and that transmission doesn't have this bracket.  ive looked around the net and have seen this bracket on some transmissions but can't find any reference to it in any schematic

That's a left over casting from the loop frame 5 speeds. Not used on Tonti frames

I believe it's used with the right foot shift. A shift rod goes through it to connect to the lever on the LH side of the trans.
