Title: New Grisos for $7995
Post by: Travlr on August 23, 2019, 06:58:09 PM
I don't know if anyone has checked Cycletrader lately, but there are several new Griso's for $7995.  Looks like MG is blowing out the last of the CARC bikes.  Going to be hard to sell any used CARC bike for more than that.

Cal 14's will probably be next.  V85 is the future.

There won't be many leftover V85 TT's.

People need to check all the fees.  Many of those still end up around $11K OTD.  Still a great price for a new Griso, but it ain't like you are really getting it for $8K.

One place had a doc fee of $385!!

We at Wide World West Chester have 3 Rosso Trophy's available at $9999. While not as cheap as the others we are not charging freight or prep and our doc fee is only $100.

When I was shopping recently for my Griso I was checking the prices on new ones and I found the same thing.  Those that had a higher price for the Griso had lower fees.  All the dealers selling off 2017 Grisos ended up in the $11K vicinity OTD regardless of what the "price" was.  I ended up going for a well cared for, low mile, 2016 from a private owner.

Illinois gets a lot of knocks, but it is a great state to purchase a motorcycle. especially from a private sale.  Regardless of the selling price, as long as it is a private sale, the sales tax is $25.  No inspection required, and $95 to transfer the title, plus $40 for the plate.

Don't let the Illinois legislature find out about that!

You can already buy used Cal14s in the $6000 to $7000 range...
