Title: Simple Transport 12 - air-cooled VW (and more) show.

Happens ever year in Hagerstown, MD. Always some cool stuff in attendance. Announcer said there was 143 VWs registered. Some pretty rare stuff. Several cars have been on the covers of VW magazines. Beautiful day, good time.

 Oh man , that half cab thing is cool  :thumb: Many is the time that would have been handy for me on a job site .

I like the notchback 😊. I own a '79 Kombi (window van).  Simple, yes (by way of zero power operated options) but in my estimation (and YMMV) well engineered for their era.  Taken care of, driven with some mechanical sympathy, they can last a long time. Air cooled engines in VW's cannot stand throttle pedal "abuse".
