Ed, always a great adventurer is off on his next one.
Here, he is ready for me to "Prop" Footloose, a Pitts Special we built many years ago.

If you would, face the West, raise a glass, and wish Ed a good trip..

Having read about Ed from time to time here and understanding through that your friendship, I’m sorry to hear of his having gone west. I will raise my glass to him.
Those are BTW some nicely fitted gear leg fairings on the Pitts.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that.

Another not so good of thing about getting old. Sounds like Ed lived a full life however. Can't ask for much more than that. :thumb:

The Top Pub in Bungendore is reopening this afternoon after the eviction of the Wicked Witch of the North. I think it only fitting I should raise my first glass in the establishment in six months in honour of your Mate.
Salut!

Geez Chuck. Friend and neighbor. I am sorry to hear this. Cheers to Ed. Godspeed.

True. When you have to go, he did it well. Flew his Bellanca Viking to Triple Tree in the Carolinas to an airplane "rally." Was at a banquet with old friends from all over the country and had a massive heart attack. Probably never knew what hit him.
Back in the day, he test flew Mouser, then taught me to fly this fairly demanding little airplane.

So.. I took her out and buzzed the crap out of made a low approach or two over the old farm house just in case he was there, bourbon in hand before continuing the trip.

He touched the hearts of many, and now he is touching the face of God. CAVU brother.

He sounds like someone I would have enjoyed meeting...
Blue skies and fair winds, Ed!

Ed’s Bellanca was made right here in Alexandria Mn, 10 minutes south west from my home , 2 minutes due west from office. I will have a fire and raise a glass in his honor tonight. Unsung hero’s are worthy of no less, and most want no more. Sorry your friend will not physically be with you to comfort you.

I had to look up the Bellanca Viking and the three tail predecessor. Pretty neat plane.
