No Chuck they were not the same. Lowell was one of a kind. I never got to see them WITH Lowell. But I enjoyed the 3 time I saw them without. Great musicians!

Saw them with Fred Tackett with Allman's in St Louis in late '80s. The local station (KSHE) had a "Feats at five" deal on Saturday. They sent me a Tshirt for my song selection for the show. Still a great band but not the same as Lowell.

I heard on the radio that Paul tried to join the band as the bassist and didn't get the gig. He said “As a bassist, I make an excellent guitarist."

I'm planning to see Tedeschi Trucks Band next month, I think they carry on ....

Richie was a high school friend and I was able to meet them backstage and up close and personal. Along with being a great band, they were genuinely fine people, with no pretensions. Sad to see them drifting away, one by one.

Still play their vinyl albums from back then!!
