Boy, that sure looks very similar to the one I looked at in Oakland, CA, (this one is in Sonoma, not too far away from Oakland), about 10 years ago.......that guy wanted $8K and would not budge! :rolleyes: :shocked: :wink:

My Strada will hopefully look a lot like that, except I'm not really crazy about the angular sidecovers, so will be going with the earlier rounded type. Probably no black on the tank or sidecovers, low bars vs. clip-ons, stock pegs vs. rear sets. But, thanks to canuck750 I'll have a Sport front fender and seat. :azn:

There was a teenager in my neighborhood in Vicenza who rode one of these. Used to see tons of them in the 90's. Rare nowadays.

Don’t get me wrong. I have lusted for a Morini 3 1/2 ever since I was a teenager. Always wondered if I should get one now.
But let’s be brutally objective. I currently have a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250 that I love to bits.
Is there anything the Morini would really do better than my two-fiddy? I’m assuming the horsepower of the Morini is overstated as was usual for that time period, and it’s actually about 30 to 32 hp. Comparable to the Ninja.
I’m also assuming the brakes, frame, suspension, handling and overall reliability of the Ninja is superior to the Morini.
Am I wrong?

Both needed to be revved to the moon in order to get out of their own way. My Morini on the other hand, seemed like a "torque monster" that would pull from low revs in just about any gear without any complaint.

Thanks. Good point. The Kawasaki 250 does need to be revved to 10K rpm to make noticeable power.
