Taking advantage of the sunny dry weather to give the fleet their last rides of the autumn. Snow flies next week, we hope.
After all the rebuilds I've had time over the past two months to fine tune all the bikes and am most happy with the way they're running now. When everything is just right, both Guzzis have a liquid exhaust note, a reassuring smooth burble. The Triumph barks. The F650 is an unpleasant rasp.

Concerning exhaust noise had an interesting recent experince with my T-3. It has the cheap Emigo Dunstall replica mufflers which usually actually gain compliments on the sound most of the time. A couple of weeks ago I road to small town liquor store. As it was a short stop I just left it idling and before I could get my helmet, etc. off the clerk came out looking up and all around before focusing on me and the T-3. She then says " Oh, that's you. I thought a helicopter was landing close by."

I love to feel and listen to my Guzzi at speed. Other bikes I have (or had) & like also appealed to me, but not like my V7 Sport.
But mine doesn't burble. I've never had mufflers on the bike. it didn't have any when I got it & mufflers were the lowest priority of the rebuild budget. Made a pair of drag pipes for free and hit the road. so that's the way my bike sounded & I've grown to enjoy it that way. Later got a pair of correct but empty silentiums that sound even better, not as snappy. Seems strange to hear one with full mufflers.
Anxious to hear my V700 at speed with a pair of reverse cone megaphones.
