Long night is right .... I've got a thundering head cold and a miserable night of it.

I'm thankful that it will soon be over and I can get back normal life, without sneezing, nose-blowing, and sinus aches ...

Hope you feel better soon Lannis.  Outstanding stuff.  XPC powder and a nasal irrigator, IMSMO, are great aids to avoiding sinus problems

I've told about 500 people about XPC powder since 2007.  About a half dozen have tried it, each of them think it is miraculous!

It only happens to me about once every two years (for which I am also Thankful!).   So I'll probably just moan a bit, get Fay to wait on me, have one more miserable sleepless night tonight, and then start recovering in time for our family Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday .... ... Thanks, though!

Lannis,
You want me to send you a good cigar? They keep me from getting a cold. I never get the flu shot. My SIL sez I'm too mean!

Beaver had a bad cold. I rubbed her chest with Vicks. I felt good!

I've gotten one flu shot in my life.   They were giving them away at work and I said "Oh, why not?"

Three weeks later, I had a BAD case of the flu, in the bed for 3 days.   Only one I've ever gotten in my life.   That was 15 years ago and I'll not do THAT again!

Thanks for the cigar offer, but I'm afraid I've had my Man-Card revoked in that area.   I used to enjoy the occasional good cigar, maybe 3 or 4 times a year sitting on the porch with my brother and brother-in-law.    (Back when I was in my 20s, I enjoyed quite a few CHEAP cigars, King Edwards and Roi-Tans, but that was another world.)

About 2015, I was sitting around the campfire at the Virginia Guzzi Rally.   Hadn't smoked a cigar in years, so I bought a $20 one in an embossed metal tube before I left home.   Cut the end off, lit it up, took a couple of good drags to get it burning good .... and fell off the back of the log I was sitting on.   I thought I had died ... I was sitting in the "outer" row so no one noticed, and after a minute I picked myself up, tossed the cigar into the fire, and haven't messed with them since ...

Perhaps he experienced a chapter from "Fate is the Hunter" crossing the Atlantic at night ... ?
