I like this bike because it's been ridden (~47k miles):

Too many cool old bikes have low, low miles, almost not even broken-in, which always baffles and saddens me.

$4k for a an '81 needing repairs? Good luck with that. Even if it didn't need anything, that would be "all the money" for that era of 3 1/2.

Years ago I had a 31/2 sport that was rattle can orange, safety wired and no numbers on the frame. I sold it because in CT there was no way I could register it. At least I can say I owned one. I do wish I kept the Strada I had.

That Moto Morini has been on the Boston CL for a very long time along with a Moto Guzzi Zigolo from the same motorcycle shop.

The seller hasn't changed the price for that bike in years. It reminds me of one in Freddie Marsh's shop an eon or two ago. It had the same problems, though it wasn't as corroded. R3~

Wonder how long it'll stay up at $5/month?

Back in the 1980s I bought a 3 1/2 Strada for $700 from a guy in a small town in Oklahoma. When I called about his ad he asked "do you know what it is?" He kept getting lookers that wanted a moped! I loved that bike but, as my old boss used to say, I looked like an elephant humping a bail of hay when I was riding it. I was just a little too big for it. I have actually owned two Moto Morini 3 1/3 Stradas which is two more than most people.
