Sonoma California - I bet the reserve is $4,000.
The next question is did they take off the bevel box and tighten the ring gear bolts.
I had to buy a new case for my son's V50-III restoration

Actually, remove the ring gear bolts, *remove the hardened plate* and reinstall the bolts with thread locker and schnoor washers. Also, there is a mod so the pinion bearings get lube up to them. There is no real cost involved, but it's more work than most will tackle.
I'll bet it doesn't get to $3K.. they *are* a nice bike, but have a very limited following.

Just sold this one for $2500. 19 year old son of a local Guzzi fan. Heads by Ed Milich makes it pull easily through redline .

Wow, that is nice! and 1:45 away from me. Hummmm. On my eBay watch list.
-
Not terribly far from me either. Also on my watch list. But it will go over my budget for sure. I picked up an old Yamaha not too long ago. I am already over my budget on that one already and have a ways to go.

Yeah, it's probably never been done. Nice looking bike..appears to be complete and original to my eyes.

So the bids went up to $2500 ish and didn't meet reserve, and the auction eded. Then the seller relisted it. It went up to $2600 and didn't meet reserve.
What is a good price range for this bike?
I could see paying $2500-$2700. But we have no idea what his reserve was.
-
I mentioned above, 25 hundred is about all they'll bring.
-
So the person relisted for a third time, no reserve!
I was on standby, ready to bid ... but also asking myself why do I want/need a 38 year old 490cc Moto Guzzi ... but it was a really nice one ... and then the price started go up, and up, and cross my max.
Ended up selling for $2750. Anyone on here get it??
