Unmolested, original and very complete, no relation to seller.
Still has the original rear shocks, dual bleeder Brembo calipers, air box with filter, headlight side reflectors, should have signal lights and the mufflers are not stock but the headers and cross over pipe are stock. Reproduction mufflers and signal lights available from Wolfgang Hareter at Columbia Car and Cycle in B.C. Canada.

ummm... because its not a 1200, or a racer for that matter, but it is a nice drum brake 750 SF1 and looks to be correct.
The Mecum boys have not gotten any better accurate descriptions :thewife:

Yes, I saw that as well...NOTE two different lot numbers....differen t bikes, I suspect... :rolleyes: :shocked: :huh:

Looks like the same garage, though. I'm guessing they've used the same pics for both lots.

It’s amazing how many bikes come up for sale with tire types that haven’t been available for decades... in this case (Pirelli Phantoms in sizes to fit a 750SF) for about three decades, maybe a tad more. Restoration needed will likely be in proportion to a bike that hasn’t been ridden for 20-30 years.

Nice unmolested SF2 with ugly original high US Spec bars. Decent machine. Not 'fast' but lots of torque and it will make anything you ride afterward feel smooth by comparison. Put it on the center stand, rev the 360' engine, and it will literally move backwards on the pavement! Low CG makes for good handling. Price is more than I would pay tho.

Price seems high to me too. I'm no Laverda expert, just an observer and aficionado of old Italian bikes, but you'd have to put a goodly few lira into it to make a reliable rider out of it .... That said, I'd enjoy having something like that for day and weekend sporty rides ...

Value, like beauty, I suspect is in the eye of the beholder. There was a Laverda for sale in town here for something like twenty grand, must have been twice as rare! Don't know if it sold, it was up for a long time.

I put Phantoms on my T back in the mid '90's. Just replaced them a few years ago when the rear finally wore out. They were still doing fine up til then and I preferred them to the Demons that are on there now. But I ride on gravel a lot so that's probably why.
