Did the last ride of the year yeasterday, 116 miles in the South Hams ending up at Bridge Motorcycle for a fine rather American  lunch of pancakes bacon and maple syrup. It was nice be among "my own people" one last time, and quite interesting my old Breva attacted a bit of attention, dirty as it was!
Its been an interesting year. Started the year a contractor for local government 250 miles from home, still trying to run my own business as well. By the end of the year my business was gone, I had a permanent position in local govt 200 miles closer to home, and start in a 1/2 management position half field officer position on more pay and more responsibility for a whole 5 PERSONS.
My daughter is 14 and quite moody. But also affectionate at times. She appears to know everything.
I need a new Webber - would love a Smoky Mountain Cooker - the old girl is rusting through.
Need to replace my 10 year old Arai - looks like an Arai Debut will fit the bill.
Cest la vie.

Well......2020 wasn't as good. My daughter is now 16, and still moody, but full of artistic talent. And I don't ride the same bike.

South West Devon Dan. On a nice day it can be glorious, the sea, the beaches the blue sky and rolling gentle hills. On a bad day....with spray whipped off the seal and 60mph winds, nearly horizontal rain, it can be a bit of a downer. Rains a lot here.

I treated - like a navy Cruise. Isolated and just doing my own work every day. Setting aside as much money as possible and paying down debt. This month I became totally debt free! And I have new bike I paid cash for as well. Not a bad year at all. No - impact on my own family. Luckily the folks I do know who caught it had mild cases.

Scotty, what I read you're one of the best. I remember this advice from my youth: Don't let the bastards get your down!
Carry on, take names and kick asses.
