Just for fun...
San Francisco 31
Kansas City 26
I believe the latest odds show the Chief's favored by 1.5 pts with total points at 52.
I'm not a Sunday Couch Potato but I'll watch the game with family and friends.

Isn't that kinda low scoring for a basketball game ?

ok Dusty "to confuse the issue I refer to familiar hero's from long ago" lol JP? Come on Dusty...I know you've got this

Sorry Frank , just couldn't help it . Will watch some of the game , it is an American spectacle , although too often the game is kinda boring , and the hype is unbearable . As a mod I can't really take sides ,
But , GO Celtics . Oh , sorry , go Chiefs ?

Now Dusty..you know that you have a Jackal from California...which IS a California...you must
root for the 49ers!
No matter the outcome should be a good game.
We are doing slow cooker pork ribs and wings, bean dip, clam dip and some other yummy snacks!
That's what the Superbowl is really all about...food and commercials!!
Enjoy,

Same here , the commercials are the real reason for watching . I never can remember what was being advertised , and it doesn't matter . The Cat Herder commercials from a few years back still bring a laugh .

Don't forget the half time show maybe well get lucky and witness another wardrobe malfunction

Along these lines....there is a new Hyundia (or Kia) commercial centered on the Auto Park function (uhg, I won't start with that conversation...some one else can...may as well have a self wiping toilet)...anyway Auto Park commercial filmed in Boston with the ridiculously pushed accents and Big Pappy that is hilarious and annoying all at the same time
-
Chiefs 38
49ers 13

I'm not going to predict a score or winner, but I'll predict that a blown (or non-) call by a referee will be a deciding factor in the game.

I am betting there will be a longer version of that commercial during the broadcast today , it is , as you say , hilarious and annoying at the same time
Still , while it is obviously some type of car commercial , what brand it is selling remains a mystery to me , a well honed skill developed over the last 30 years that allows for enjoying the craft of marketing while remaining undesirous of the product being hawked .

I am not a big football fan, but since the Chiefs have not been in a Super Bowl for many, many years, I believe they will be the more "hungry" team! :thumb:   :boozing:

Maybe the better question will be what the ratio of hype to actual game will be ? Maybe some funny person will troll the game by showing 15 minutes of Heidi during the 4th quarter

I think the team with red team color will win.
-
I just watched the Bill Murray/Jeep "Groundhog Day" commercial. Pretty good!
-
Has the game started? I don't really care either. Too much hype.

One of the red teams is ahead.
The commercials are hilarious. Halftime was really a show too.

When you remember the ad but not the advertiser the ad was not effective.
It seems the ad agencies are better at marketing their product than their clients.

Hah! Lots o' bright, flashing, colored lights, and a bunch o' costumed humans gyrating and stomping around. Real quality entertainment, fer sure...

CHIEFS!!!
That is all

Always the same in the NFL. 10 point lead in the 4th quarter, toss it away with a prevent defense. Nobody ever learns. And regardless of who won, refs can always be shown to have missed or blown calls both ways. I'm happy for Andy Reid.
-
Try living with Houston's super secret prevent offense.
-
I didn't see any prevent defenses. I saw a momentum change and Chiefs just took it to them, beat 'em to the punch. The Chiefs did it throughout the playoffs. They're explosive offensively and the defense got some mojo. When Damian ran for the last TD, it was just plain running hard past the short yardage defense and leverage against the 2nd level.
-
I predict 31-20 Chiefs.
Wth was that gal doing on the stripper pole? I axed my friend if the audience was going to storm the field trying to give her dollar bills.
