They are back in stock:

Good luck on them arriving here undamaged though, considering how poorly packaged everything I've ever bought from HMB was.

I have never ordered from them before but having waited six plus months for these to mufflers to show up anywhere, I just went for it. And of course I'll make sure there isn't any damage upon arrival via Fedex.

I would imagine MG Cycle will have them in stock soon.

This is the second stock of black mufflers that HMB has received from Lafranconi in the last 30-40 days. I missed the first stocking as they all sold in minutes, so I went for these as I had no idea when MG Cycle would get them back in stock. Given the current supply lines in the world......

What is the attraction to such. Ugly mufflers?

Good luck then, they would blame the carrier anyway.
Two Gilardoni cylinders shipped near loose in the box, DHL blamed.
It took 9 months for them to send replacements and I had to pay the $129 to send the broken ones back to Germany (never refunded)
I then had to phone them to ask why the package was sitting in DE customs, they replied that they wondered what that was about (Customs had contacted them) and just ignored it.
I buy a billet rear main bearing, they sent a cast one ( that version was not even listed on the website)
It took months to sort out and when I queried where the correct bearing was after waiting 2 months I was told it had been posted weeks before.
Around two hours after that email I received notification from DHL that the paperwork for that was initiated. (In other words they lied and posted it that day)
Around 4 days after that I started getting spam bombed with junk email all with a DE origin and to an address only used at that website.
It had had no spam ever prior to that.
I spent a lot of money at that dump and was never impolite in phone calls.
From what I have seen since they still have the same moron doing the packing so I honestly hope you get what you payed for in as new condition.
I should have stuck to MG Cycle (US$5000 or so spent there prior not including international post)

Sounds like I should cancel this order. Has anyone had a good shipping experience with this outfit?
-
I thought MG Cycle had these in stock now. Are they out again?

I think they had the chrome ones in stock.

I have had no problems with them BC....bought plenty of stuff there ...but I'm on the same side of the pond.

I've bought plenty from HMB, including Lafranconi pipes and never had a problem with them. The one time I called them for advice he was very helpful.

It was actually a lot worse than that but toned it down......... I now believe the broken cylinders were broken before dispatch as both were broken in the exact same spot and those two areas were nowhere near each other in transit and cardboard box had no damage to the outside of any sort.
Then put in a box with next to no packing and DHL was blamed straight away for the damage.
Such is life but that meant no engine work for the nine months (The replacement cylinders were sent one at a time months apart)
I had received smaller more robust parts orders with no problem prior to that but even then the packing could have been better.
Total spent there, around Euro1800.
In saying that I would not want to be responsible for a order cancellation and based on irony your parts should turn up with 20 turns of bubble wrap in pristine order.

Well, I'm going to go for it and see what happens. Maybe I will send them a shipping packaging concern email.....but then, that could backfire.

Well, they finally showed up today after sitting in customs for two months and they were well packed, so I guess they have learned a lesson when shipping over seas.

And the finish is much better than what I was expecting:

You're joking right? They're as cool as you can get.

Well, originally these bikes came with black mufflers, crossover and headers. Now if you happen to have a pair of stock Lafranconi's in as good a shape as these mufflers I will gladly take them off your hands because I would prefer to have them than these mufflers as I'm trying to keep the bike as stock as possible.
This is what I got in this basket case, and while I have doctored it up to look reasonably OK there was no way I was going to start up the bike with these mufflers.

Please let me know if you have a pair of NOS mufflers.

The welds are bumpy, a little black comes off with each waxing, and the red paint in the twirlers flakes off to the touch. But BOY do they sound good and fit tight to the bike!
-
Great box to finally receive! I think that particular exhaust design would look best in unfinished stamped carbon steel. If it's gonna make a statement, then it might as well really make a statement!

Maybe I should have them powder coated, because on closer inspection the finish is rather light.

My parts from HMB have arrived on numerous occasions well packed.
Not a fan of the raised lettering on the 'franconis, I far prefer the old plain cans.
Looking at this system for my LM2 some time in the future, hopefully done in brushed finish rather than mirror.
This system in full is slightly less, cost wise, than a pair of Lafranconi Competizione cans.

Yes, I'm not a big fan of the raised lettering but it doesn't bother me too much.

Beautiful bike; is it just the photo angle or do your headers not have the balance pipe at the front?

"Beautiful bike; is it just the photo angle or do your headers not have the balance pipe at the front?"
Thanks, it's a work in progress, as in I have not yet started it for various reasons that I soon hope to resolve. And then the real fiddling will begin.
Those are the very badly pitted original headers with the cross-over. I'm waiting for a new set of header's from Teo Lamers which were shipped out a month plus ago and are sitting in customs or somewhere. The mufflers took two months to get and I assume the headers are on the same path.

I would much rather have the raised letters than none at all.

Tom, that is SPECTACULAR! My dream bike in Ice Blue.
Who did the paint?

Yes but like I said, if I could find a descent pair of stock mufflers that would be cool too.
Thanks Cam, local guy did the paint. I purchased all the paint and he shot the blue parts. There are a couple of problems that need to be addressed on the side panels and the inside of the fairing, but I will kick him a few bucks as he really didn’t charge me that much money for his time.

Is the day-glo orange on the fairing a decal or paint? I've been unable to ever find a definitive answer as at which one is correct. Probably a decal.

Blackcat, I also have some original headers that are well pitted, but I'd love to fit them if possible.
I have a Keihan system in stainless atm but the cross over pipe is so close to the alternator cover, I can't remove it without taking the exhaust off first!!
What did you do to yours, blast and VHT or ceramic?
Any chance of a close up of your headers to see what they look like at the surface?

I haven't done anything to mine as I figured they were kind of a lost cause which is why I ordered new ones from Teo Lamers.

Ah, right, thx. I'd have been tempted to blast them and see how they came out.
Are the TL headers the ones with the joint in the crossover?

I may take them to the powder coater and see what he thinks, but if they don't come out smooth, they just won't look right against the new mufflers.
Yes, the ones I ordered are the two piece headers:

I would have rather had the one piece but I just couldn't find them.
