Hi,
Was wondering what windscreen/flyscreen people recommend for a 2002 Ev that does not have a windshield anymore. I don't think I'm going to be a "tour across the USA" rider, but I would like some protection for the time I am on the highway. I don't know what is available now for a bike of that vintage, and I haven't seen any Guzzi screens that fit the budget.
Thanks

I bought one direct from Dart for my V7
I'm not sure they would have one for an EV

You could cut one out of Aluminum sheet metal to get the shape then make it out of Lexan, easy to cut with a pair of tin snips.

I used a plexifairing 3 on my EV. However there will probably not be a listing a Moto guzzi. The best I remember there was a gentleman where I ordered mine that had a neighbor who had a MG and he fitted another brand to that bike and it fit perfectly and offered great protection from the elements!

Thanks,
I don't know how I missed the National Cycle ones when I googled the subject. I figured no one would list the Ev anymore.

Like I said, they didn’t list any Moto Guzzi when I had my EV several years ago. I can’t remember which bike listed that fits the EV perfectly but seems like it was a 750 Honda shadow and I did put it on my sons 2000 Honda 750 shadow a couple years ago before he sold it.
If you go that route you will need to measure the fork diameter and order the mounting bracket for that size and not what’s on the Honda.

I have the tall and short shields for my 98 EV. The short is great for all around riding. Check out Stein Dinse from Germany.

I have Plexifairing II on my EV. It took lots of trial and error to get buffeting down. It's acceptable.
I would rather get a PF III. Even though they don't make it for the EV anymore, I'd the closest fit and take a file and hairdryer to it and put it on the EV. I had Plexi III that was broken by service mechanic and it was really good. Best I've ever had. I made the mistake of the getting PF II since the III was no longer available.

I put the plexi 2 on my Jackal and was amazed there was no buffeting. I did set it so there is a good 2-3 inch gap between the top of the headlight and the bottom of the screen-this limits the back pressure. It's too much for dead of summer but great spring and fall.

I did the same. In fact, I put mine where the gap is over the top on the instruments and then angled the top towards me.

I have the Natinal rifle.. I dont see it listed anymore though.. I do like the look of it, but I fight a lot with buffeting. Granted im 6'3" tall.. and the shield is pretty short. So keep that in mind when your shopping.

I have two of this, complete with mounting bars, they are called "Germany Windshields" and protects very well (I'm 6'2") without being too tall.
I would sell one, but from Italy the expense is VERY high (our postal service is a nightmare).

I used a Gustafson, it has a forward curve at the top that might have made the original less prone to buffeting.

+1 on the Plexifaring II. Can be adjusted any way you want.

I wonder if you have the info regarding the company that manufactures and sells this?

You might be a little more specific. I see Gustafson only makes the plastic but not the hardware.

They are Moto Guzzi original ones, this company still manufactures them:

but are currently unaivalable...

Yes, I used a windshield to replace the orginal while using the EVT fairing. I bought a 7" taller version, thinking I could cut it shorter if needed. Turns out it works great!
