Bike is ready, Governor is closing Oklahoma at midnight so I played hooky from work and hauled butt with my daughter to pick the bike up.
It runs better than ever. Don and crew at Motiv in OKC did an amazing job on it. I hate that I was without it for 7 months, but that issue is being addressed right now as well. I can chime in later with more details, but I know some of you were very interested in the outcome.
Did 240 miles from OKC to home without issues. Had to make a few adjustments to my personal settings since there's a new computer in it, but after a few minutes that was resolved. Managed an 83mph average from OKC to Mountain Missouri. Ran it hard and loved every mile of it. Trust will probably come back with more miles.
Indian what?...

Ok, that there; that's just bragging, that's all that is, ;~) :thumb:
Perfect timing, glad you got it back in your garage and it's running sweet.
It won't be too long before you'll have those tires worn out and you'll be pulling rank and asking us for the best deals on new rubber.
Ride safe and often

Among other things. A grocery list of other issues resolved.

Sure hope that was all covered under warranty.

Glad for you Luap, ride safe and often! Sounds like she was in competent hands and passed the first test well. :thumb:
-
yeah I could tell from here you had a broken timing chain adjuster...wtf? Thought they had those all figured out in the 80's....

The bike is a year out of warranty (two years this august). But Piaggio did help with the parts and I’m appreciative of that for sure.

After a bike has an issue like yours did it may take a several miles before you trust it again but time will heal👍

good news for a change....

Cool. I wanted a MGX but just a bit too heavy for me in my advanced years. But the Audace was a bit lighter and I am handling it just fine for now. I love the 1400 motor. Hang tight, trust will come back.

I like a happy ending.
So - tell me, in what way is it now better than it was before?
-
Luap, I hope you'll have an enjoyable, long and reliable relationship with this bike!
:boozing:

Congratulations. Now you can social distance in style. Btw, thank you for all you do for the Guzzi friends with this great discussion board.
-
Super happy for you. They're easy to fall back in love with!

It's actually quieter and seems to pull smoother. It made a considerable amount of "chatter" before at idle but I dismissed it as normal because I couldn't hear it at speed.
-
That's one mean machine. Tried the video but it said it was restricted. Glad you get to enjoy it now.
-
"It's actually quieter and seems to pull smoother."
Makes sense, especially considering what was wrong.

Yes. Right now the only thing that concerns me is it appears to still be consuming oil. I'm hoping it'll settle down and stabilize soon. I can't own something that uses oil.

I'd say keep the shiny side up, but it doesn't really look shiny
