Title: Guzzi Diag
Post by: MMRanch on March 25, 2020, 09:08:39 PM
I was out on the V-9 today and the check engine light came on.    After a short distance the traction control  started blinking and a few seconds later the "Check Engine" light came on ...

WT?

When I restarted it after going inside for a few minutes , the Starter worked when I turned the key on without me pushing the button .    The Start button had hung in the compressed position.

Sometimes I wonder if Guzzi gets anything right the first time ???

Back to the check engine light :    After I got home , I hooked it up to my computer and pulled up the VO 47 download.
It only took about an hour to figure out how to reset the code.  Ya , next time it should take 2 minutes !

I don't have any idea what most of that stuff is , but there sure is a bunch of options.   I did see the RPM and the targeted RPM .

When you are ready, they still sell low tech, just not new ones.

Gosh , how far back do I have to go to get away from the dreaded "CHECK ENGINE"  light ?    :undecided:

New enough but no frills to bother you, why I like the EV.

The triangle of death on my dash came on a couple of weeks ago. The readout said the brake was on, I was moving after stopping at a light. Turns out that the rear brake pedal stuck due to stiffened grease, it was fairly cold. Cleaned and re-lubed, all good.
