Title: Stelvio center stand/\rear brake issue
Post by: Steve350f on March 26, 2020, 04:29:52 PM
So, took my 2017 Stelvio out for it’s first “real” off-road ride.  Handled amazing in all aspects but had one issue.  When going down a decently steep and very bumpy hill, while also on the rear break, the center stand spring does not hold the stand tight to the frame AND the spring itself bounces up and down so much it hits the bottom of the break pedal when yer on it.  It’s so bad it effects the rear break feel.  Not a good feeling when navigating down a hill like that.  I also heard the center stand “bouncing” when on other rocky terrain.  Anybody have a fix?

Photo’s ?
Also, take the spring off and measure it, as well as make sure the lugs are in the right place.
Is the stop for the centrestand contacting the stand properly?
Also, that’s be “brake” mate..

Are you sure it wasn't the ABS activating?

Ha ha. Didn’t notice it autocorrected to “break”. Anyway, I could post photos but my Stelvio is stock.  Not sure why I would need to measure to spring or check lugs, it’s literally brand new with 600 miles on it.
