Lots of guys and gals out on their bikes today. Mostly Harleys, adventure bikes, nakeds, dual sports but alas not a single Guzzi. A couple of beautiful black airhead Beemers in San Felipe canyon. I try to do a couple of loops each week ranging from 60 to 250 miles. This was 170 miles. The warmest it has been in a long time. Boy, does that help in the cornering ability of the Eldo when the pavement gets warm as the trip is 85% two lane twisty roads. The destination was Borrego, Ca and it was practically empty! But there are still nutty people out on the road hauling ass.

It’d be nice to live there.
The only reason we can go out is to
Buy food
Work
Exercise
Compassionate grounds
Doctor
What does “hauling ass” mean in American vernacular ?

Incidentally, the Tourismo mode works so much better than the "Veloce" mode as there is not nearly the same amount of engine braking. Now, I am not a speedster but, you can go into the corners just as good in "T" mode as with the "V" mode. Perhaps better because the power is more uniform and the throttle doesn't have the abrupt on/off feeling as the "V" mode. Maybe, I'm just old but the bike works better in this mode.

How are you lucky buggers allowed to just go for a ride for the sheer fun of it ?

I'm surprised the harleys were out, with the bars being closed. The only time I see them is parked in front of the bar, or in their little groups heading to the next bar.

We (Washington state) are allowed out for fresh air, to buy food and other essentials and to get gasoline for our vehicles. The fact that it takes 60 or more miles on the bike makes the trek more enjoyable.

I took the Roamer out for a "Long way to the grocery store" today , its only about 4.5 miles as the crow flies , but it took 36 miles the way the bike had to go ! :azn:

There are tons of bikes on the road here, especially on a nice Sunday. I've yet to see or hear of one getting stopped. Plenty of cars too.

I got tired of my own cooking and so I went straight to and from, to get some food.
Right ? LOL

Dont be sad, thats why Australia has just 63 recorded deaths so far..I was going to say we are the lucky ones but its not really luck.

First decent ride of the season, a friend and I rode up the Sea to Sky to Pemberton (past Whistler) had our lunch sitting on the side of a bridge and rode back 214 miles as the crow flies, but we aren't crows.
There were two Guzzis on the road, my Griso and a brand new Eldorado caught us up when we were at a lookout, owned by Peter the guy who built this chopper many years ago, he was taking it easy breaking in his brand new machine.

Connecticut hasn't said no... Police aren't doing traffic stops, they don't want to be exposed to the CV any more than we do, and there's almost no traffic, perfect riding conditions.
Be well,
Larry

I went for a spin the other day, the air is still safe to breathe. I usually do a short 30mi ride to get the edge off. Got plenty of twities & hills local.
