Title: Two-part clear-coat?
Post by: Testarossa on April 19, 2020, 02:10:43 PM
Any recommendations for a fuel-proof two-part gloss spray clear coat?  Applying over enamel. I see several brands (Spraymax, Eastwood etc) and would like to know what you've used and with what results.

I shoot R-M (BASF) Diamont DC-92 Clear and it is not affected by fuel.

Check out Southern Polyurethanes...the y made great clearcoat systems & will answer any questions you may have. They do a lot with hobbyists.

The Spraymax semi-glass worked well. I used two coats of rattle-can Rustoleum cherry red and gloss black, then the recommended three coats of Spraymax, 10 minutes apart. One can did both tanks. Easy peasy!
