Hi fellas,
I am in the process of changing the fuel filter on my 2008 Norge.
I had no problem with the fuel line connector but for the life of me I can't get the fuel pump/ filter assembly out of the tank.
I tried various angles and pulling out so far and try to angle it out but it seems there is too much of the assembly in the way below the flange.
I'm afraid to try and force it... do you have to remove something from the assembly below the flange?
Whats the trick to getting this out?
Thanks all :thumb:

I can not describe it here, but it does require a push-pull-turn-twist-squeeze, type of movement.
From memory, the line has to be lightly pinched/flexed, to get it all through the aperture. For the record, you are not missing anything important, as long as you have all the bolts out and it’s wobbling around like a cock in a sock, you are on the right track..
I have had mine (‘07 Norge), out a few times to change filters and fix the sensor to get the gauge to work properly  :clock:

Hey Gerry,
It will come out but it is a finicky monster to get through the hole. IIRC you have to turn it and angle it while looking for the bit that's holding you up and then prod that to slip it through. If the filter is out of place or not tucked in and secured close in then it may be the culprit.
Just beware of damaging the plastic fuel lines in the tank. They use Oetiker clamps and need a specific kind of pliers. Perpendicular nippers will work in a pinch. The clamps on my Norge were removable/reusable if treated nicely. If you need clamps they are available from NAPA. I have some, if you find yourself in need I'll drop them in the mail.
