Title: New Valve Covers- V7 III Stone
Post by: ssrealty on May 05, 2020, 09:48:40 PM
Just got my 6,200 mi service done and installed some new valve covers that AF1 had on sale. Probably a little too flashy with the blue tank. Looks better on the Carbon Dark. Maybe I should paint the tank in future.

I like it. I wonder if those flashy red valve covers would fit on a V85?

I think if you just added a few other red accents you could keep the blue. Maybe a red stripe on the tank? Or Guzzi logo, lettering or eagle on the tank?

Even on my Carbon Dark, I felt like it needed a little more red to even out the look so I went with new shocks with red springs, and the red "moto guzzi" wheel stickers.

I LOVE that blue, do NOT ruin that BLUE.

I LOVE those red valve covers (on our Carbon Dark).

I think it looks hot with just the red valve covers, and dont get too matchy-matchy with overkill of red touches... the red MG wheel stickers would be nice

What shocks are those? I was thinking of getting some red shocks? The new V7 Stone S has red rear shocks and logo on tank.

Are the red shocks faster?

Bitubo, with preload and rebound damping adjustment.  You can buy a red spring for the OEM shock if you are OK with the damping.

I wanted new shocks with adjustable rebound damping so I went for the red springs.

Are they the stock length, or the 370mm? What’s been your take on them so far? Some of the Italian guys swear by them, but couldn’t find a US V7III review so far.
We’re you able to specify valving and spring rate, or just off the shelf?

Looks awesome, congrats! Maybe a red bird, more than that may be too much.

I got them through Traxxion Dynamics.  I told them my weights and intended use and that I wanted the red spring and they recommended the shock.  I have their cartridges in the forks that have both rebound and compression damping.  They set all the settings while I was there with the bike.  No more wallowing in the curves.  Much safer ride.

That's got me thinking, I wonder if a good powder coater could match the blue on the covers. That may be neat.

All you need now is some red suspenders  :thumb:
I'm with Kevin, don't mess with the blue tank
I have a couple of horns with red covers on my V7iii Special.
Fiaam Freeway Blasters, super loud when wired right.

Awesome, exactly what I’m looking for. Thank  you for pointing me in that direction!

If you are happy with your suspension and just want red springs....
