The video takes me back to some of my switchback rides through Turkey and Andalusia, Spain, but I admit that at minimum I had a tiny car’s width to work with on my bikes. And these ladies are doing it more on a regular basis!

Aw, come on guys - it just looks difficult because of the weird angles it was filmed at to make it LOOK much worse than it really is. Pissed me off, actually, because the photographer didn't just hold the camera off at one angle, it was consistently angled to accentuate the slope. That's not to say the girls aren't good riders, but the film sensationalizes the difficult terrain.

I don’t think it’s sensationalizing-- the camera has to be set up in funky angles in order to show the whole picture. Are they airborne if they fall off? Nah, but they sure won’t have gravity on their side should they go over the edge.

Hard to tell about the slope angles of the path ... but if they fell off the edge, they wouldn't stop for, oh, a LONG time.

They probably make the trip every day to haul water and groceries from the valley for their extended families. You guys just need to put on your flip flops and practice.

Do a careful analysis, comparing the people to land features, and you’ll see these switchbacks are steep. And I retract my prior statement—some of these falls would definitely be airborne for at least a second or two.

The mountain villagers are legit B.A.
