Hello! I'm restoring a 750s, but now I got stuck with the rectifier mount.
I don't know, how the rectifier joints to the frame.

The 750s parts catalog says, the sequence of the fastening is: bolt-small washer-big washer- rubber washer-rubber washer-nut
The V7 sport catalog says: bolt-small washer-rubber washer-rubber washer-big washer- nut

To me this sequence looks the most logical, but it does not fit to the frame:

Can somebody tell me the truth? Photos are also appreciated. I would like to restore the original condition.
Thanks!

As I found, the rectifier mount is the same width as the fixing positions on the frame. It's fitted slightly off centre. The little front bracket is made offset and you mount the rectifier to one side of the frame tags. I made a note of this in my blog here https://racingrhino.wordpress.com/2015/11/04/electrical-components-4-nov-2015/ (https://racingrhino.wordpress.com/2015/11/04/electrical-components-4-nov-2015/) Scroll down to regulator and rectifier,

Thanks for the replies!
It's not yet clear to me. So, the rectifier will joint to the frame assimetric? Maybe this is the right mount?

Sorry for the poor illustration!

Are you sure, this is the original state? I don't see the rubber washers on your photos.
-
I think, your rectifier mounted upside down on V7 sport

I think, your rectifier mounted upside down on V7 sport
your correct, it was removed when I got the rubber side pads and flipped over, the mounts are correct and there are rubber washers between the mounts and frame.
-
The problem is, my mount and fixing points on the frame are the same width(and v7john said the same above). I cannot put the mount between the fixing points. And the rubber washers absolutely does not fit between them.
-
I did use the rubber mounting washers and fitted the rectifier off to one side as explained.
The rubber washers go either side of the regulator mount, not either side of the frame brackets. So the order is the same on both sides of the frame. Going from left to right - normal washer, frame, rubber washer, regulator bracket, rubber washer, large washer. This moves the regulator accross by the same amount on both sides.
Here are other pictures taken at the time which didn't make it into the blog. Hopefully you can see how it went.

Thank you for the photos!
What do you think, why the front mount is assimetric, if the rear(double) mount joints to the frame simmetrically?
-
Both mounts are asymmetrical.
-
Oh, sorry! I just zoomed John's photos, and see the assimetric rear mount.
Thanks for all!

So, it looks, John's mounting is 100% same what I drawing above. I will follow this.
