Hoping to get some riding in ... we're off to Bealeton and to Culpeper, VA to decorate the family graves on Monday, then to a B&B in New Market, VA for 4 days to roam the Valley, find some old family homesteads and cemeteries and get some walking in.

Weather's looking nice for once.   Hope you have a good one too!

Mike and I installed my "THIRD" manual fuel valve (petcock) from MG Cycle yesterday in the ol' Yellow Horse.
Will run it up the road today...Hopefully, this one won't LEAK...but I am not very hopeful...

Sunday is supposed to be nice weather. I'll go for a ride and visit Dad's grave. He was a mechanic/welder in a tank battalion during WW II. Was present in the Battle of the Bulge. I have always bought a paper poppy from the vet who sells them in front of the local grocery store, and put it on the gravestone. Yeah, I know that the poppies are given, and that a donation is your choice. I drop a $20 in the jar. The old vet wasn't there this year. I miss him, too. Dad's first heart attack put him in the VA hospital in 1961. He made those poppies when he was there. His second heart attack killed him in 1964 at age 48. Mom told me just a few years ago that the yellow fever that he contracted while in North Africa in 1943 had permanently damaged his heart. She said that he told her in 1955 when my sister was born that he wouldn't live to see us kids grow up. He didn't. She passed last year at age 102. I still have a spent .30-06 round from the honor guard at Dad's funeral. I was 11.
All gave some, and some gave all. I won't ever forget.
Be well,
Larry

As a day of reflection, we all have seen what changes have come and gone and I am thankful for those that have given so that I am able to pass along those memories......
