Im thinking of going there and was wondering if any of you have stayed there? Impressions, or should I avoid the place or?? Neat and clean or messy etc. Thanks...

Never been to that campground, but there is some very nice riding around there. I would head toward Lenoir for supplies if staying there, Wilkesboro/North Wilkesboro is pretty crappy (unless you're there for MerleFest).. also its a - hotspot, they had over 500 cases flare up at the Tyson plant there, surely thats an overwhelming number in a community that size... that plant prob employs 1/4 of the town.

I've been by it, but never have stopped. Seems decent but I can't say for certain. heres their FB page... https://www.facebook.com/ridersroost/

Thanks for the info. It is a Honda Chopper event so riding "Twisties' wont happen much. Thats OK though as Ive slowed way down in my old age! Il stay away from Wilkesboro then.

I stayed there many years ago (at least 15) so my memories may not be valid. Pretty basic campground. Bathhouse, tent spaces. Kind of in the middle of nowwhere, as I recall. But if your tent camping, it's probably as good as any. Just don't expect TWOs or Iron Horse Resort level amenities.

I stayed there many years back. Pretty basic. The owner was not a 'friendly' person, but not really a problem.

Thanks everyone for the input. :thumb:

Not trying to be an "Elitist" or discourage anyone from enjoying the sport BUT.... How can "Honda Chopper" even be a word let alone an "Event?? Lol

Oh the old school 1970's Honda Choppers were cool to me (And a lot of other people) Back when people realized anybody almost can buy whatever bike they want, but only a few actually build their own bike. Honda CB 750 choppers from the 70's are cool man! LOL.
