Title: Tootling around on the T
Post by: Testarossa on May 27, 2020, 05:17:35 PM
Another local ride, this time on the freshly rebuilt '74 850T. Coming home with the groceries via back roads. I've trimmed the bits where I had to follow slow traffic.

As soon as that last right with the power pole so close to the road appeared , I knew you were close to the barn .

 Thanks again Seth

Hey Seth, Funny, I was on Back River Rd about the same time as you. Probably a few miles ahead  or behind. Oh, and for your info The Top of the Rockies has been cancelled along with Cherry Days. Bummer, no group photo this year.

You must have been behind, Scott, or I'd have overtaken you

Hi, JJ. I hate those stickum GoPro mounts so for about $8 I bought this strap-on thingy (looks like it came from a XXX catalog). The camera shakes a bit, creating video that looks like the bike has no suspension. I'm going to try putting a fat rubber band around the GoPro to stabilize the thing. Next video: The Mille over McClure Pass.

Dusty, I'm very glad that I can amuse you!

Yes, that's the issue with GO-PRO...is'nt it?  Vibration...and that's also "the scourge" of all motorcycles in general!

Thinking about getting a GO-PRO, but for $300, I dunno...

I see a lot of decent used Gopros on ebay and amazon, and a ton of $50 knock-offs. For $50 I'm tempted to experiment with a possibly sacrificial camera mounted in risky places.
