Beautiful day, perfect for a lazy ride on the Convert. A little over 200 miles.

I did a little over 500 over the weekend on the Cal-Vin. NW Arkansas SAT. and North to Pomme de Terre Lake SUN. Beautiful Weather, even got a nice "biker tan"

Looks like a great ride.  What's the purpose of the 'S' shaped gizmos on the fronts of some of the buildings?

Those are devices to spread the load of the tie-rods they are attached to that stretch inside the building.
They can also be merely to anchor the brick face to the walls.
Not knowledgeable enough to know how to tell the difference but remember asking my Pops way back when I was a kid.

Took my girls out to Middleburg for lunch.  Coulda swore I saw a guy on a black Guzzi while we waited for the train one of 3 times from Marshall out to Mt Weather.  Were you wearing a red jacket?

Gorgeous day for it!

Likely me. I was through Middleburg on my way to Aldie. My jacket is red/black.
